COMMERCIAL CARPENTER
Phoenix Interiors, LLC - Grand Rapids, MI is looking to hire carpenters with well-rounded capabilities. We are looking for the right individual to join our team and grow with us as a company. Our scope of work is focused primarily on (but not limited to) commercial retail, office buildouts, restaurants, schools, churches, etc. Applicant will be trained in metal stud framing, acoustical ceilings, some drywall, specialty finishes. Applicant must be able to work well with the rest of our amazing team of field leaders. Ability to read and understand architectural plans and specifications are helpful, but not a requirement. Applicant must be able to take direction from a project manager and / or General Contractor and perform in the field. There is definitely potential to move up within the company. Additional details to be discussed at an interview. Requires transportation and implement company safety policy & standards, along with pre-employment screening.

Job Description (Installation):
• Structural & non-bearing metal stud framing
• Ceiling tile & grid installation
• Drywall & drywall finish work
• FRP installation
• Demolition
FUNCTIONS:
• Knowledge of construction principles/practices
• Ability to read construction documents
• Knowledge with computers and apps, such as PlanGrid & Procore
• Work varied shifts, including weekends if project requires
• Show good workmanship and motivate the crew
• This job involves heavy labor, standing, walking, climbing, lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs.

COMMERCIAL PAINTER
If you are interested in joining a growing commercial interior finishing company, with a crew of people who like to work together and have fun together, we’d like to hear from you! As a crew member, you will be working as a painter, completing various exterior and interior projects. Previous physical labor & painting experience is a plus. You be interacting with various customers and be working in an environment where quality of work is key, but efficiency is also very important. Must be willing to be trained on proper painting techniques or previous experience.

General Responsibilities

Spray & backroll as well as brush applied paint on door frames & trim

Clean and maintain spray equipment for both latex paint and oil based projects

Stain and finish wood doors and trim
-
Able to color match and install putty for wood trims
-
Able to work in occupied spaces with customers and other present
-
Perform minor drywall repairs and touch-ups prior to prime & paint
-
Must be willing to work alone or as part of a crew
-
Will need to be able to caulk trims and frames prior to painting

Safety mindedness is essential

Must be able to pass physical and regularly lift 50lbs
